Her grit and determination is inspiring to the entire nation, sending the message that you can’t let anything get in the way of your dreams. Monday, Feburary 2, 2026, was Groundhog day. Groundhog Day is the day where we try to figure out how much longer winter will go on for. If the groudhog, Punxsutawney Phil, sees his shadow there will be 6 more week of winter, if he doesn't then we may have a early spring. Last Monday, they held Groundhogs Day at Gobblers Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Phil makes his predictions at Sunrise with other groundhogs like Georgia's General Beauregard Lee and New York's Staten Island Chuck also participating in separate locations. During the time of Phil making predictions, there are activities starting as early as 3:00am with the prediction around 7:07am. His prediction this year came out to be that he seen his shadow, so unfortunately we have the possibility of having six more weeks of winter.

MH370 -The Disappearing Plane is a 3-part documentary series (2023) that explains more in depth about the 2014 disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. It investigates the mystery through interviews of the lost loved ones family's and journalists. While also capturing the emotional toll of everyone associated with this horrific tragedy. The journalist Jeff Wise says "Planes go up, Planes go down, What planes don't do is just vanish off the face of the earth." His has a theory of the main pilot Zaharie of MH370 of it possibly being a Mass- Murder-Suicide because while doing this investigation they raided his house and found that he had a at home flight simulator, but that was very far-fetched and caused a huge rukus online. While this is all going on Jeff was also in a group called the Independent Group was had multiple different pilots and engineers that were trying to solve this mystery. A British company called Inmarsat was able to analyze hourly pings that revelved that the plane flew south for hours after communication while led the search to the Indian Ocean. but the plane had roughly about 6 hours left of fuel. This significantly shows that the data was the only evidence that they had so far after it went completely shut out for any and all trackers, computers, and the human eye. While doing everything they can in July 2014 the sister plane MH17 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down over eastern Ukraine. The next theory is the Russian Hijack theory. Hijackers allegedly accessed the electronics bay through a hatch in the first class to spoof the satellite data, making it look like the plane went south when it actually went north to Kazakhstan. But there were no wreckage that has been found in Central Asia. The very last theory is the Cargo/Shootdown, this involves suspicious and un-scanned cargo that was destined to go to China and it was intercepted to prevent the technology to make it to Beijing. Blaine Allen Gibson has personally found around 22 pieces of the supposed MH370, which included the no step piece of a Boeing 777, a window frame, internal panaeling, landing gear door, and lastly the seat back panel. These were mainly found on Madagascar beaches. This plane has been missing for nearly 12 years.

Netflix just released season four part one of the fan favorite show, “Bridgerton.” This season is about the second Bridgerton son, Benedict. His story has many parallels to the Disney classic, Cinderella. Benedict falls for a woman at a masquerade ball, who ends up being a maid in disguise. Her name is Sophie Baek and she, like Cinderella, has an evil stepmother and stepsisters. So far, the first part has followed Benedict in trying to find this mystery girl, while spending time with the new maid Sophie, who actually is his mystery girl. The new episodes also follow Violet Bridgerton and her struggle with having feelings for someone else other than her deceased husband. She doesn’t want her kids to think differently of her for wanting someone else whos not their beloved father. Overall, I think the actors Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha who play Benedict and Sophie, are amazing actors that keep you invested in their story. Therefore, I think if you have time it’s worth the watch and keeps you wanting more.

On February 1, 2026, Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing after she disappeared from her Arizona home. Authorities are handling the case as a suspected kidnapping.
The 84 year old was last seen by her son-in-law, who dropped her off at home on the night of January 31, 2026. When she failed to appear for a scheduled church service, her family was notified, and after going to her residence, they found that she had vanished and called 9-1-1.
Evidence of foul play was found on the property. While police have yet to confirm, in photos of the property, possible blood spots were seen in the entryway and it is believed the Ring doorbell camera was taken. Guthrie’s personal belongings were still at her residence, leading investigators to believe that she was taken against her will. Motion was detected at her home
at around 2 a.m. on Sunday from another camera as well.
Concern over Guthrie’s condition has stemmed from the fact that she is without needed medication, which could lead to fatal consequences if she has been without it for 24 hours. On February 4, Guthrie’s children released an emotional video statement to Instagram,
saying that they would not give up searching and said they would be open to communicating with suspected ransomers. “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and you have her…”
As the case continues, unverified ransom notes have been leaked to the press. TMZ reported that they received an unverified ransom note claiming that Nancy was “safe but scared.” At least one individual has been arrested for sending a fraudulent ransom note, but police believe they may have a general idea as to where Guthrie is, referencing a ransom note that may reveal a location.
As of yet, no suspects have been named. Guthrie’s family members have announced a $50,000 reward for any information that could lead to their mother’s discovery. People have been asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) if they have any information about her whereabouts.
