Chefs Culinary Arts lll Period 4 class cooked teachers from the elementary, middle, and highschool, lunches on the friday’s of April 24 and May 1. The group made a menu of sandwiches, sides, and dessert. The individual items were: club sandwich, chicken bacon ranch wrap, italian sub, homemade potato chips, fruit salad, pasta salad, and a chocolate chip cookie. The group works hard, doing lots of prep, dividing the different tasks up between all the kitchens. For the project the class voted on two sous chefs, Andan Nguyen and Amelia DeBaillie. The Philadelphia Phillies swept the Giants in Thursday’s doubleheader at Citizens Bank Park with a 3-2 walk-off victory in Game 1 and a 6-5 walk-off victory in 10 innings in Game 2, leading them to a 3-0 start under interim manager Don Mattingly.
It was the first time the Phillies had two walk-off wins on the same day since July 24, 1998, against the Miami Marlins. The last team to accomplish the feat was the Pirates on May 28, 2004, against the Cubs.
The Phillies haven’t been hot in a long time. That cost former manager Rob Thomson his job on Tuesday.
But on Thursday April 30th, fog filled the service level outside the Phillies’ clubhouse. The Phillies have used a fog machine for years following home wins. They haven’t needed to reorder any liquid fog this year. They are now 8-10 at home and 12-19 overall. Now the Phillies are now looking forward to sweeping the Miami Marlins.

Amid health scares and new personal problems revolving around Klay Thompson, Megan Thee Stallion is now set to leave Moulin Rouge! The Musical nearly two weeks early. Her final show has been set for May 1, 2026.
The three-time Grammy Award winner made her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on March 24, 2026. Playing the role of Zidler, she became the first female performer to step into the role and performed a medley of her own songs for the curtain call. Her performance was praised by People Magazine and her run increased ticket sales by approximately 39%.
However, despite the overwhelming success from her performance, the singer has announced that her final show will come two weeks before her scheduled closing date of May 17. In a statement made online, the rapper herself wrote of her early departure and praised the people involved in the show. “I’ve met so many amazing people in this theater! Y’all work so hard and I have so much respect for the dedication, the stamina, the work ethic, the time and effort y’all put into the work!”
While no official reason has been given for her early departure, this announcement comes about a month after a dramatic health scare that occurred fairly early in her run. On March 31, 2026, the rapper was rushed to a New York City hospital during the show. It was later reported that she was experiencing major dehydration and exhaustion and took a break from performing.
In more recent news however, Megan Thee Stallion has accused her now ex-boyfriend, NBA star Klay Thompson of infidelity. It seems likely that this incident may have been a deciding factor for her as audience members noted how emotional she was onstage amid the cheating scandal at that night’s performance.
For the remainder of her scheduled shows, the standby for the role, Patrick Clayton, will perform in Megan’s place.
