Nancy Guthrie enters 2nd Week
By: Brandon Bakener
The case of the kidnapping of the famous GMA host's mom, Nancy Guthrie, is about to enter its second week. Current live updates from CNN have explained where things are currently standing near 1:00pm. These things include multiple gloves found with no DNA, and Savannah Guthrie has shared yet another video in tribute to her mother. Near 2:21pm, TMZ just announced that someone is claiming via email to know who Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapper(s) have to be, and are demanding money to find out the possible “results”. Nearly 3 hours ago, a tent was temporarily placed in front of the doorway of Nancy’s home. Also, outside of Savannah’s old news station located in Tucson, Arizona; reads “BRING HER HOME”. Neighbors and reporters are badly wanting footage of her home and possible locations as of January. Arizona investigators are said to receive 18,000+ calls/tips of any sort of information about the occurring case. This case has millions of people surrounding social media with thousands of conspiracy theories such as the possible daughter to be a suspected kidnapper, and many others keep your eyes out for the news broadcastings on channels such as CNN for the latest information.

Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show
By: James Morse
The 60th Annual Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8th was the moment millions of football fans were waiting for. For music fans however, the headliner for this year’s Super Bowl drew in much speculation and many conflicting opinions, as Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny was the choice to headline.
The decision to have Bad Bunny perform was controversial to many. Having a Spanish-language performer to be the one to headline eventually led to the creation of an alternate halftime show, produced by Turning Point USA.
The performance by Bad Bunny however, was ultimately successful. There were officially 128.2 million viewers, a 7% decrease from last year. The main criticism was that the show was almost entirely in Spanish. The main consensus from English speakers was that the show was good, yet true meaning was missed due to the language barrier.
The show itself was a celebrity filled spectacle. Some of the people spotted in the background included Pedro Pascal and Cardi B, and there were surprise performances that came from other celebrities. After many rumors circulated online about an alleged appearance, Lady Gaga performed a salsa version of her hit song “Die With A Smile.” Along with this was a performance by Ricky Martin. Of course the main focus was on Bad Bunny, who performed 13 different songs before ending the show with a banner that read “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
In the days after the performance, multiple claims were filed that Bad Bunny left explicit lyrics in his songs. An official complaint came from Rep. Mark Alford, who claims the show is under investigation. Other earlier claims refute this and allege that any inappropriate language was self censored.
In any case, the show itself, no matter what can be said about it, was ultimately still a success. The full performance can be viewed on YouTube: Bad Bunny's Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show
